On call schedules, in your gym bag. I imagine the vast majority of them are less attached to their phones and develop habits of leaving it in the other room for a while.

Cut 2/3 of both apples leaving 2x2/3 segments and 2x 1/segments (2/3 cut in half for those of you who struggle with fractions)

As others mentioned it looks like a heat sink, they create a lot of surface area and blow air through to the device in order to help dissapate heat and prevent the device from overheating.

Movies have a tendency to do this. Low budget, reuse of props from other sets, plastic glued to everyday items.
