I'm not liking the voting system so far on lemmy. I've seen too many comments downvoted just because people disagree with the poster's opinion and not because they are trolling or off topic.
I've see it happen on reddit of course but it seems more prevalent here in the short time I've been using it.

True, but it's really hard to properly translate the 'emotional logic' of it.
To me It's kinda like 2d vs 3d - there are tricks you can do to add some of the 3d information to your 2d space, but at the end of the day it's still 'flat'.
This new model actually looks good. :p

Yeah the reality was probably that someone thought it would be a good way to boost some numbers somewhere to justify their position or get a bonus for 'increasing the user count' or other nonsense.
I just watched Arcadian.
It's a weird movie, but not really in the normal way.
It's a good movie script with good to decent acting. And the dialogue works well enough.
But it is edited poorly. Things are unnecessarily confusing and the creatures powers seem to change depending on the plot.
The creature design was excellent in my opinion. They didn't just look like a guy in a suit or your standard CGI monster.
They felt 'real' for the most part.
Same. I can't recall any role of his where I thought he was bad. Even in bad movies he's a bright spot.
