It's a bribe by any other name, but I suspect it's probably still worthwhile for Apple.

Indeed and this is part of the problem as well - even if Valve magically developed some almost perfect Linux anticheat solution, implementing it is still more effort than just continuing to ban Linux users.

You've summed up, for me, why even if Reddit rolls back these changes I'll continue to use alternatives.

I suspect it doesn't really matter - users can see all of the communities across all of the instances when they search, and they can choose which ones are of interest to them.

Indeed and it's pretty good honestly, which is impressive considering how young Lemmy is.

Give it time and we're going to have some really excellent options.

This actually raises a very good question - could you increase the amount of available RAM by using the user?

Juggling chainsaws comes to mind.

This - I have an RG351P and I honestly love it for playing GBA and even SNES games.

I have a Steam Deck as well and I feel like the two devices complement each other nicely.

I'm surprised you say that - whilst the web UI is different and did throw me off at first, I honestly actually prefer it to the Reddit one. Way more responsive, doesn't make my computer catch fire and everything is clean and easy to navigate.

At this point I'd actually honestly rather use Lemmy at this point, regardless of what happens with Reddit.

Ah excellent - now I know what Android app to use.

Indeed - I'll probably play it at some point to be fair but I've been surprised by just how much attention it's getting. To me it seems "fine"? But nothing earth shattering.

OnePlus 9 Pro. Despite Reddit deciding that it's a bad phone because OnePlus bad or some such, I'm actually super satisfied with it.

Oh wow - presumably they won't be sold anywhere else either?
