They definitely had a... certain audience in mind with this teaser lmao

I only have 1080p atm, but was planning on upgrading my monitor. I'm still debating on what to do really. My mobo is already future proof, and I have 32 gigs of RAM. I saw an open box 6700 XT going around 250, so tbh I might just wait for the gen after this one or something before I upgrade the monitor and get a new GPU. Only issue is that I want to go SFF, so I wonder if the next gen would even fit in this thing. The Terra can fit up to 320 mm, but it still scares me.

Minor ramble aside, thanks for the advice. This actually helped me the most.

Edit: Yeah these things are going for like 200 on the secondhand market. Ez pick.

Yeah, but the price difference is so negligible that I might as well go with the 7800XT at that point.

Thanks for the more in-depth comment. I want to build something that'll last a while without me having to upgrade it. Doing a minimal gaming build with the Fractal Terra.

Damn, is it really that simple? Alright.

I wonder how long it'll take before this gets shot down lol. Hopefully it'll make Sony hurry up with that port.

I am terrified yet intrigued by this absolute monster

I yearn for the day where we get more original anime with soul instead of adaptations that rarely live up to the source material, especially all the junk food VN adaptations we keep getting

Lmao more isekai waifu bait, I'm sad these things still make enough dough to get pumped out like this.

I'm gonna assume it's a "lmao China" moment when it comes to copyright.

Christ, what is this.

"Sophisticated design." Lol. This looks like those old, over the top Pokemon themed DSes and Gameboys.

This has to be one of the worst things I have ever seen

Hey! I'm trying to get into self hosting and was wondering what would be possible with a single Pi, at least until I can get more capable hardware.

The servies I'm interested in would be things like a pihole, music server, photos server, a few personal fediverse instances (mainly owncast), a small Matrix homeserver for my friends, etc, etc. Media server but that's obviously way into the future I think.

While I don't intend or think I can run all of this on one Pi, I just want to know how much is possible. I'm really thankful for any feedback I may get. My apologies for the noobness if I'm completely wrong about all of this.

One last thing, any recommendations on any other services I should try out as a beginner?

Edit: In hindsight, I really do I wish I asked about the ability of sharing these services with people and how that would affect the load and performance. One of my biggest goals is to have this used by family and close friends.

I've been on Matrix for a few weeks now and like it quite a bit, but I'd like to join another homeserver to aid in the decentralization movement. Are there any trustworthy ones the people of Lemmy know of?

Edit: After looking, the only ones I found that were "recommended" are weird lolicon servers, or aren't federated with ANY of the rooms and spaces I want to be in. Why is the home server situation this bad??? Is Matrix's federation system different/worse or something? This is making very little sense to me.

I'm doing a lot better than I was a few years ago, but I still feel myself slip and fall into the same cycle a lot. What things have you guys been doing that has worked for you? It can be small, big, anything really.

Do you guys have any particular memories of your first manga experience(s)? I remember walking into Barnes and Nobles as a wee little lad, and asking one of the kind store ladies where the "anime" section as. She told me that it was called manga, and guided me to the proper section. I still remember going every so often with my mom, it was magical every time. I can't even remember how many times I re-read the first volume of One Piece.

One of my favorite J-Rock bands of all time. I love how they breath new life into old styles of music, mix retro and modern, and combine a whole bunch of genres together to make a wonderfully unique sound (at least to me.) Particularly old Super Robot anime, and other retro JP media like tokusatsu. While this song is pretty standard compared to their usual stuff, I feel it's pretty special considering their goal as anison artists.

I think seeing the media they produce music for would give a better understanding as to why I enjoy their music as much as I do, so I hope posting an MAD isn't against the rules. I apologize in advance if it is.

It feels nice to see people express themselves with an icon and banner of something they like instead of how homogenous the icons are on Reddit, unless you paid up of course. At least that's how I feel. Definitely an unexpected pro.
