From reading the text, I speculate that Franklin was alluding to the preexisting saying as well -- alluding to the cat in the dark as an accepted axiom.

My understanding is that PepsiCo is also one of the biggest of the corporations that declined to leave Russia as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.

I had left the thread before this sank in, and had to come back in to upvote. I agree, he is off limits again.

I am in my 60s now. I figure this will start to kick in any day now.

That might be a winter-time concern, but for summertime it is hogwash. The air conditioners need to run when the sun is out.

Her competitor, Adam Schiff, is the old-school Nancy Pelosi choice. He has been running ads that boost the Republican Steve Garvey in an attempt to eliminate Porter from the race.

Edit: as one of your honorary fathers, I advise you to go watch the movie, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."

Not since about 25 years ago. It was spun off from PepsiCo in 1997. And in fact it was not called Yum until sometime later than that -- it was never Yum under PepsiCo.

Edit to add: I still don't go there, of course.
