Basicaly they do not think their game is any good. So if someone takes the deal. I instantly loose interest. I mean if even the developer think it is no fun...

For there to be competition, there have to be some features. Epic just uses exclusivity deals as an alternative to features.
I am not sure what that is, but there is no competition.

Ublock origin.
Breaking the google monopoly to prevent enshitification.

Each of those on their own is a good enouh reson imho. But with all 3 firefox is a slam dunk ;)

Firefox, especialy because of extensions like ublock, and sponsor block. But also because of features like total cookie protection. Where cross site 3rdparty cookies are sandboxed for each site.

Had to google "pinoneered", but it say: "developed or be the first to use or apply" and i do not think valve did either.
They have an easy way for developers to implemet drm by require steam services tho.
But in my opinion it is better there are few well understood methods instead of a million uniqe ones. Incase there is a world this have to be reverse engeneered.

Split the wheel and copied it on the school copier. ;) much easier the copying the whole manual that was sometimes needed
