This whole thread feels so familiar and yet I'm not from the UK, either.
But yeah OP, do they have smoked knackwurst in UK Aldi and can you just use a couple of ice blocks in a cooler for an international flight?

When I was a kid, my introduction was Tom Baker. For whatever reason Doctor Who scared me. As an adult I've tried watching Tom Baker Doctor Who and while I think he's hilarious and Douglas Adams' writing is also hilarious, it's not my favorite. I'm not sure why David Tennant is so loved but I'm in that camp, yes.
Oh! Apparently I'm in 1997, then. Remarkable that they have Windows 11, then. I have a machine where the Microsoft provided drivers cause screen blanking when hardware accelerated video plays. Installing the AMD drivers fixes that, but I've yet to figure out what the magic sauce is to prevent Windows Update from overwriting part of the drivers that Adrenalin installs. One boot after installing and the machine works great, then the next boot it'll just be a black screen of death. At least AMD's installer helpfully makes a restore point.
Isn't this why Apple partnered with Crossover, so that 95% of PC games would work fine?
The person who made this has never had to deal with Windows driver issues obviously
Pet the dadgum cat. My track record with black cats is that they're sweethearts.
What if I'm a lefty redhead?
MFW the United States of America isn't part of the world
Yeah, I simultaneously don't blame them, and suspect a high amount of their traffic comes from NSFW forums. Allegedly Spez was a /r/Jailbait mod and if so, eww, he should have known better.
I wouldn't blame them for trying to find a way to monetize the NSFW content, because it's become a dumping ground for Onlyfans promotion.
So...do we know if Reddit iself is behind flooding subs with comments about how mods are being jerks and hurting the communities pointlessly? It's weird, the same kinds of comments in every sub I'm in. Also lots of comments about how Lemmy is too complicated. 😆
I use it mainly for personal use, and mainly when people send me Excel worksheets. I've also used Calc to manipulate data for CSV merges, too. I've worked in small newspaper office that'll have Macs but don't want to buy Office; unlike Pages it interacts with the outside world nicely.
I've been a user so long that I had a StarOffice license in college so I didn't have to reboot to Windows to work on term papers.
You know, I can't argue with most of this. I think other than TAS, Discovery S1 is about the only Trek I've never rewatched. It doesn't really fit in with the era it's meant to be set in, it brings back a lot of things I don't really care for in Trek (Mirror Universe, Section 31, etc) but it mostly knows what it is and where it's going.
Season 2 might be, but I'm not sure. The Enterprise was revealed at the end of S1 of course and by golly it sure seems like Anson Mount hit the ground running as Pike.
I seriously wish the beginning of S3 had been Rod Roddenberry doing a soft reboot of Andromeda. He's talked about how one of his "jobs" is taking his dad's ideas and pitching them as new shows, and I feel like Andromeda could have been an interesting direction for Star Trek to go. I'd love for more resolution on Calypso. I'd love more talk about how the ship's computer got taken over by an alien AI and they're just sort of letting it do its thing as a part of the crew. But at a certain point the show just...sorta...trailed off.
And despite liking that it felt like a soft Andromeda reboot, it simultaneously felt like they used the time shift to not deal with why Discovery looked nothing like any of the other ships of the era, and to ignore the "black ops" nature of the ship.
