There were no evidence for any major struggle or any other major extinction event for Neanderthals at the time, quite the contrary modern humans that came from where Neanderthals lived have their DNA. How do you elect such a candidate in the US when the whole election system is controlled by the people who are the problem? Bernie was pretty moderate, fairly popular and they still ditched him from the elections twice. And to solve the problem the elected politicians have to be way more progressive than Bernie.
He doesn't care about their political system. What he cares about is that they are Kurds. Kurds did some terrorism in Turkey. Some Kurds want to separate from Turkey. Both things are a serious problem. Also, Syrian oil fields those particular Kurds control. Yeah, it's actually probably mostly about oil.
