That sounds like an awesome weekend! Will you be competing against the big guns? Are there amateur/novice divisions, or is it all or nothing?

My s10e is still going okay and is just small enough to use one handed. Sad that companies are moving away from the small, powerful phones

Genuinely one of the best songs in recent years. I highly recommend anyone go see these guys live. They are fantastic

I would recommend going to see this band live just to see the drummer. He's real tall with a massive wingspan and he absolutely punishes his kit.

Tl;dr winery next door wants the course gone and made a biased report to the department of environment protection - they have now made a call to remove all infrastructure from the park. This appears misguided as the DG community did a lot of work to clean up the park and make it a hazard free environment.

The hairpin(ish) bend in Yarra Boulevard ain't bad. Probs most scenic, twisty road that close to the city.

Is there a blog/social media page type thing for alternative sports/activities in Melbourne? Where they might review the sport, what's involved and the culture etc. Seems like there are a lot on offer in Melbourne, but no out there trying them all and documenting it(?) Thinking things like axe throwing, Trugo, larping, bike polo, roller derby and so on.

Ah see that's not technically complacency! It's an active measure... (in the complete wrong direction) but active! Not complacent!

Did not know the Lee Ranaldo connection. That's awesome!

Nah, you're alright. It took us a while before we committed to splitwise and yeah, it was mostly a convenience thing. Less stress over maths and keeping tabs. You could say that it's causing you stress and you'd like to at least give a splitwise-like app a go. It'll hopwfully free up your mind to focus on the romance and each other.

Without getting into the whole relationship side of things. My partner and I use the splitwise app for almost all our joint spending and find it works well to keep things fair and it keeps a record of things. Most things are split 50/50, but you can can do any percentage split based on the situation - like if one person uses the car most of that week, we might split fuel 70/30 or if one of us wanted to splurge on a shared expense and the other didn't, we might agreed to split it 60/40 - that way the splurger gets what they want and it fits within the others budget.
