So let me get this right….

It’s newsworthy that people don’t want to hang around their office and/or coworkers after work? People who get ally have seen the last few years shred their savings, who face continuous increases in the cost of living, and in America, no meaningful social protections, and very little vacation or freedom with their time and agency….don’t want to spend more time at their office?

Shocking, I say! Harrumph harrumph I’ve dropped my manacle, I’m so angry.

I think that’s a perfectly reasonable stance. Just mention the need to install the “words” package if it it throws an error saying /use/share/dict/words can’t be found. It took me about three minutes to solve and I’m only a hobbyist!

By the way, love this project! I forgot to say that in my initial reply :)

I’ll have you know that fixing things that don’t work for no reason is my favorite thing to do on a distro /s

While I kid, I have been on Manjaro for 5 years as a daily driver. I know it’s team gets a lot of hate, but it’s been rock solid for me for all my normal usage.

Quick pointer you may wanna add to the readme:

This depends upon /use/share/dict/words which doesn’t necessarily exist on all systems. To try this out on an arch-based district, (Manjaro,) I had to install the package “words” with yay.

As a poor person with low-end, old hardware, I love XFCE. It has extended my laptop’s practical use-life by at least 8 years now, and counting.

Don’t get me wrong; I understand SMS is a very insecure method of communication.

That doesn’t justify cellular companies censoring the communications of their users. That’s just not justifiable; like I said before that’s a gross abuse of privacy and free speech.

I obviously am a tech guy (I’m on Lemmy, lol) but not everyone is, and it’s wrong to act like people that don’t understand the technical workings of their communication apps don’t deserve privacy and security and autonomy. Should they be educated about these things? Oh hell yeah! But to say we shouldn’t protect people because of their ignorance…that’s just not helpful to your fellow man. Nor can I think of any moral justification.

Oh wow, that’s totally not a gross invasion of privacy.

Sadly it doesn’t. I’ll try it on a different machine this evening!

Hey OP, this could be a me problem, but currently the linked article gives me a 404.

My thought exactly: it’s essentially impossible to avoid micro plastic ingestion. I have no idea how one would go about removing plastic packaging from their food supply as it’s used to package basically everything.
