I would absolutely never use a single generic community or source when gathering information for a specific issue on a specific topic.

Visiting for basic information now and again isn't going to provide a ton for them. As long as you are not providing new content or doom scrolling it's fine IMO.
It was not. It was /u/MrJules on /r/sync_ios/
Awesome. Glad to hear its at least on the radar.
2012 here too! Been a daily use app on my phone ever since.
Day 1 purchase of Lemmy sync here as well.
This is one of the biggest things I think Lemmy needs. You should be able to create a backup of your profile and export/import it into another instance. That way if something happens or you have a problem with the instance admins you can migrate with no loss or minimal loss to your account.
The early Sync for IOS was made by a different dev so unless they are doing it then not likely.
Not actually as surprising as you might believe though. Even newer military subs use Xbox controllers albeit on less crucial systems.
They provide an easy to understand with minimal training way of controlling something complex.
Sync was great. I bounced between a lot of apps over the years but sync was my favorite with RIF in a close second.
Sync is one of the best 3rd party Reddit apps available. The dev is like many others being priced out of reddit so he is now planning to bring sync to Lemmy.
Personally super excited because I used sync all the time for Reddit and having g that type of quality mobile app for Lemmy would be awesome.
Pi-Hole and Ublock running here!
