maybe, maybe not, i'm sure the devs will switch to a different algo which will make this 'asic miner' obsolete if it's not just a scam

right, you could do that, or you could host it on a vps, the choice is yours. no one's forcing you to do anything, or even implying that you should do one over the other

of course, hosting a node at home is the best option. but maybe you don't have 200gb of ssd storage at home. maybe you have a slow network. maybe you want to use a mobile wallet such as monerujo without using someone else's untrusted node or having to deal with port forwarding (that is, if your ISP even lets you port-forward) and having to leave your machine or a server running 24/7 at home. i myself needed such a service because i don't have any servers at home (i don't own much hardware, in case LE decides to come one day and seize all my shit). besides that, i'm behind CGNAT and don't have enough space on my nvme drive right now. this is why i created this plan

besides that, the whole site looked shady as fuck and i'm not surprised sick people flocked to it

i'm 100% sure this was because of CP because morally one can handle people using his service for spreading malware or db dumps but when people start uploading shit tons of child abuse material to your service at some point you just say fuck it and give up

with every free anonymous service there will be A LOT of abuse, because if you break the rules you lose no money, there are no consequences and you can just re-offend right away. even with paid services there is abuse, but thankfully we've only had one CP complaint and a couple more benign aggressive vuln/port scanning complaints

goes down at times because it requires a constant connection to the daemon, will be implementing a backup system where it connects to alternative daemons when the main one goes down
