Factory white bread is just misunderstood. It's not meant for anything fancy, it's designed for PBnJ or a quick bologna sandwich. If you're putting more than a slice of cheese and ultra processed meat slurry on it, you're misusing it.

Bread is best as a butter or cheese delivery vehicle.

No matter how you slice it, only the upper crust of bread society can cut it as a standalone food.

People saw potential in the company and wanted to get in before other people drove up the price.

If later on it looks like Musk can't deliver on that potential then peotare going to start selling Tesla stock really quickly.

I think you imprint on things as a kid and don't like change. I definitely had my preferred after school snacks and even different brands just felt wrong.

Same thing with One Piece. They had this great opportunity to deeply explore Kuma's and Zoro's values in the end of thriller bark, instead nothing happened.

Money also buys things that enable you to explore things.

Like if you buy an instrument you're usually out $100-200 at a minumum especially if you add on books and accessories. but learning it can be super rewarding for years.

Are muppets disturbed by us, and think we're muppets with skin and flesh?

Absolutely, or it's like an internet liberal thing not a real person thing.

I was at a puzzle meet and had brought a harry Potter puzzle and had a moment of "oh shit, JK Rowling is not the best choice for this group" but no one actually cared for something that tangentially transphobic.

Man he really sucks at identifying his market. I would get it if it was targeted at amateurs stitching together video from a birthday party or something and looking for a song to go in the background.

Instead is he trying to sell to the population most able to tell that the output is garbage?

That's an interesting one. It's not like you can stop music and explain the instrumentation in the middle of a song. I have seen in live shows when they use uncommon instruments they'll explain it either at the start or between songs.

I think a big part of appropriation is either pretending the thing is from a different culture or just divorcing it from any existing cultural context. People just don't think about what an actual effect is so just knee jerk accuse anything vaguely similar of cultural appropriation.

If it was any% of plane, there are some creative launching strategies we could explore.

I'm pretty sure this is the one

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't gotten up to chapter 967 in the mangaWith regards to the iconic Roger Laughing panel when he gets to Laugh Tale, I think the reason Roger laughed when he got to Laugh Tale is because Joy Boy intended his treasure for someone who would live on and lead the world to a new future by overthrowing the World Government.

This would have been extremely ironic, since Roger was terminally ill and had just spent the final days of his life seeking a treasure that was meant for someone else, who would live long enough to be able to change the world.

I think that positions Luffy in a really interesting spot because he has been shedding his life span throughout the manga, like in Impel Down. It doesn't feel like a very Luffy thing to not take the one piece just because he doesn't have very long to live. I wonder if he would take whatever is on laugh tale and through sheer will power force the world to change before dying.

Just ran my first game, and had made a few tweaks to run it as a one shot, and it seemed to work pretty well. My main concern was around bullets being too abusable since each player could just auto-ignore 5 shocks.

Rule Tweaks

  1. Drop starting bullets to 2 per players, force them to take wounds instead, then give them back 1 bullet for each successful tab.
  2. Let players reroll 1s when rolling for rhythm, this way they don't get stuck not being able to do as much their first game.
  3. Force players to narratively motivate using a bullet to absorb a shock, if its not related to their memory, don't let them spend it.

General things I would do on a second run

  1. Really ramp up the difficulty, use your Risk at the start of the tab and bump the difficulty by 1-2 at the first tab. This forces more 0 hit checks, so players need to start exhausting their wounds and rhythm earlier.
  2. Players generally won't ask to make clocks, so as a Big Shot you should redirect objectives to smaller clocks.
  3. I used 2 clocks for small things, like using a very unorthodox approach to achieve something.
  4. I house ruled letting players tick another clock after closing out a non-objective clock, if the non-objective clock was to do something that furthered the objective. I may have missed something, but I don't see any mechanical incentive to finish clocks outside of the objective clock so I felt like giving a small bonus to it felt more concrete than just giving them something narrative. Also, most clocks are created in order to advance another clock anyway.

What's an astoria community without a good restaurant ranking post?

RIP Shuya, I'll be making my pilgrimage to your midtown spot when it opens.
