I feel obligated to comment based on my name alone. I created this username back in the golden era of Chuck Norris facts.

Yeah I fully agree with everything you've said. It'd definitely a neat light. But I see Hanklights as the hotrod brand, so I'm all for the blistering heat and lousy runtime if it means I get 20,000 lumens for a few seconds. Having both available would've been nice.

It would be interesting to see if someone could mod a driver into an M44 that would make use of the cells and emitters but give it the more hotrod feel. Not sure if that's even possible.

Interesting. I was hoping this would be a better and brighter D18. But it seems like less output and more functionality.

I used to be like you but recently pocket dialed 911 so I switched to the bottom right method.

Wow that's surprisingly bright given the size and what it is. Neat.

Does that work both ways? Can I still see Beehaw from lemmy.world?

Not sure about the sale price, but the Mini seems like a perfect fit considering your wants/needs. There are some cheaper options that still allow for tinkering but they may not have the same reliability as the Prusa. So unless budget is a huge concern and you really really like tinkering, I'd stick with the Prusa.

Personally, I would add the filament sensor and build sheets. My philosophy is that it's better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. Especially when shipping takes a while.

Missed opportunity to crop the meme and use one half for the post and the other half for the comment

You may be interested in this project I did a while back. It's basically what you're describing with the dummy battery.

I was referring to the SC1 charger.

Not surprised about the DT8 (though it is disappointing considering the "rating").

I would've thought the D2 would be pretty well sealed though, that's more surprising.

Agreed.

You can get them for $5 from liionwhoesale.com so I suppose you could buy as many as you want and glue them together lol. Then maybe use a powered USB hub to connect them all at once.

Still don't have a charger yet...

Mostly posting this to test out Lemmy and add some content for you lovely folks to scroll through.

My poster normally has a red box with a white circle in it surrounding the silhouette of Bond, but when I shine a deep red light (D4SV2) at it, the red box disappears!

And yes, I need to hang it...

Edit: Weird, the image got rotated after uploading. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
