Thank you, any chance you can look at my other mod request - same mod created several similar communities.

foundations looks good but I'll probably get the quest version.

There's also this community, technically smaller but they do have almost as many comments as the other. [email protected]

I'm about to start vertigo 2 today, I think the demo was 2 years ago?

[–] miketunes_ 3 points 1 year ago

Without a doubt, of course I've had a almost 10 headsets over the years - so I'm a bit more of an enthusiast than most. I really want to know about PCVR latency and if it can replace my Valve Index though. Got tired of modding beat saber all the time, would much rather play wireless over from my pc.

Next years Pico models looks good too, eye tracking + same chipset.

Yes indeed. I proclaim a 2 hour lunch break for all subjects once I am anointed king.

Schell games has a proven track record, looking forward to this.

Coming this Fall to Meta Quest 3, the YouTube hit - Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell, a fully immersive educational game that transforms the iconic look and feel of their 2D videos for users to explore and learn about the concept of scale. In addition to the core VR game, users will have the opportunity to join the multiplayer theater to watch Kurzgesagt videos with their friends or enter the MR mode and unlock the game’s core life forms and objects creatures which they can interact with in their real-world environment.

With Meta Quest, players will utilize drones, scanner rays, and a multitude of other lab tools and gadgets to wind their way through several missions, while teleporting between 5 levels of scale to see how the different properties work in each unique dimension.

I’d like to request to be made a moderator of the [email protected] community. The mod, @[email protected], hasn’t had any activity in the last 3 months. I tried contacting them, and haven’t received a response.

Well that's disappointing, you know I had a post downvoted to negative awhile ago and wondered why. You would think people would be more welcoming on lemmy. I get how Meta as a company has some horrible practices, but they are pumping the money into VR R&D - benefiting us gamers.

Maybe this forum should less restrictive - Primarily about Quest but general VR tech posts allowed to.

Looks like quest 3 may have some competition. Eye tracking+dp connection are nice.

I'll give the demo a shot. Hopefully it's more like too the top and less gorilla tag.

[–] miketunes_ 4 points 1 year ago

I hate how they never tell you if can do it at home.

I can't wait for Crystal lake.

The long awaited follow-up to 2016's Sairento is finally out. I've been looking forward to this, but may wait for the graphical upgrades they are working on. Quest/PSVR2/Steam are all supported.

This is some really cool stuff. I can't wait to try it on quest 3.

Anyone try it yet? I'll probably wait until it's farther along. I've also found chewing gum helps immensely with motion sickness.

This is one of my favorite VR games - a great FPS blend of Unreal Tournament and spider-man style swinging. The player base just wasn't big enough for a paid title and pretty much dried up. However they have now launched free to play and servers are filling back up. Highly recommend, also available on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1384320/Grapple_Tournament/

The vr community on lemmy is still pretty small and we have quite a bit of overlap between this and lemmy.world/c/metaquest. I posted about consolidating VR content to here and wanted input from you guys.

The vr community on lemmy is still pretty small. I'm never sure which to post to as they overlap so much. Since the other is more general, maybe that's a best place to use? What do you guys think?

Does anyone know if these are viewable from home, or only at the film festival?

Looks promising, I'm looking forward to their take on pickleball too.

Cool tech, I'm sure we influence future devices.
