I just gotta take a moment to reflect on the glorious cinemetography in that movie and the picture perfect casting. What about Peter Stormare's Lucifer, too?
makyo
Or like our 45th/47th president himself
That is a crazy take. Europe could spend some money and help Ukraine win this without losing any of their own soldiers' lives.
Hey, I'm beyond doing anything productive at the moment and I recognize this. So how about you take a break from sniping at people who are probably on the same side as you are and let them take the time they need to process this so they can get to a place where they can chart a course of action?
I was 100% with you and thought W. Bush was a worse president than Trump, all the way up until January 6. All the ramifications of it are still playing out so it remains to be seen which is worse.
Dubbya basically set in motion all the problems we face today in his failed response to 9/11 - instability and refugees from the middle east and 'drill baby drill' environmental catastrophe. We're still suffering the consequences.
Trump and anti-democracy and January 6 - the reprocussions are still playing out. His loss on Tuesday could have done a lot to right the wrongs and stop the bleeding. But now they're going to be supercharged and the most important thing we can do is ensure that a fair vote can happen in 2026 and 2028. If that doesn't happen we're lost, and the deck will be heavily stacked against us.
It is yet another chance for the the GQP to ruin themselves. Maybe Trump/Musk/Bezos etc. tear shit down and cause such destruction and chaos that their reputations are destroyed forever.
Evergreen comment, I know, but maybe THIS time people finally snap out of it. It could be uncomfortable enough.
He’s wrong of course, Europe’s economy is many times stronger than Russia’s. The real question is if they can find the collective will to defend themselves.
I believe this too. 2020 Biden did good but there were already questions about his age. It was clear 2024 Biden wasn't going to be able to do it with his age and the headwinds he faced.
MAYBE a primary would have selected a winner if he had chosen not to run from the start and someone had plenty of time to introduce themselves and craft a good message (and not just 100 days).
But with 100 days we needed a well-known personality with the right message. Bernie is obviously extremely well known and speaks to just the right people that Biden and then Kamala were having trouble reaching - working class, young men.
Yeah at this moment I am not ready for recriminations and finger pointing. A bunch of people voted FOR that idiot criminal fascist and I'm reserving all my rage for them right now.
Trump's policy was just juicing the system for short term gain which can go on for quite a while in good times but when you're at 0% interest already at the START of a pandemic and economic crisis it's obvious you've been much too irresponsible with the economy.
Look there are some wild claims that deserve a request for sources.
Outside of that I would think you can check it out on your own if you don't already know. How is it that this "do your research" crowd doesn't know how to do their own research?
