Wow I didn't even know about memmy! That's cool!

For those of you using lemmy in a mobile browser, most browsers support "installing" the site as a progressive web app (PWA). This will create a shortcut which opens the site fullscreen without the usual browser address bar, giving it a much more "appy" feel.

For Safari on iOS:

  1. Browse to your local lemmy instance (e.g. lemmy.world)
  2. Click on the share button located at the center bottom of the screen
  3. Scroll to add to the home button at the bottom of the UI
  4. Click on add to the home button
  5. Click on add button

For the Chrome, Firefox and most other mobile browsers:

  1. Browse to your local lemmy instance (e.g. lemmy.world)
  2. Tap the 3-dot Firefox menu
  3. Select Install

I'm not familiar with Iphones though.

My thoughts are that after July 1st, reddit will continue to degenerate, and become more like TikTok, etc. spamming us with ads and AI-generated content steering the narrative. In fact I think that's what happening now as reddit is forcibly removing mods and replacing them.

This platform is only going to grow and the numbers of new subscribers to lemmy over the last week has been incredible! Redditors are moving here en masse, so it's great to see.

If you haven't yet, have an explore around lemmy, you can see a list of subs/instances that have moved over and are growing!

Yeah it does look like Yuvafem can cause yeast infections...it's listed as one of the side effects. Maybe your body is just responding differently now since your hysterectomy?

So are you using vaginal estrogen specifically for atrophy? If so, then HA should definitely help, there's a study that shows that HA is just as effective as localized estrogen., but also there is vaginal DHEA which is a hormone converted to estradiol and testosterone in the vaginal tissues. It's supposed to work really well (and quickly). The downside reported with DHEA is that it's quite messy to use.

Otherwise, there's also Vagifem, but surprise! that too has yeast infections listed as a side effect...gaahhhh!

I get that someones too, I think it's just more to do with the thinning of our skin, and losing that elasticity, so the simplest of things can cause big indents and ridges, and takes forever for the skin to bounce back. I often wear hats outside, and even though they are loose on my head, I always get deep ridges in my forehead of where the band rested. So annoying because it can take hours before the pattern goes away.

Same...we're going to try and get more r/menopause folk over here. We're glad you made the jump!

[–] leftylibra 3 points 2 years ago

That's cool to see! Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks for sharing! We are aware of the beehaw situation. I know the mods are hopeful for a resolution once additional moderation tools are available on this platform. We are grateful that @[email protected] has kept user registration very open for the time being, to make the sign-up process easier for the thousands of redditors coming over.

Thank you everyone for your positive comments! I know it's been a rough road, not just with social media changes...but THE change, and you're all super meno-warriors!

Thank you for your support! It means a lot :)

At one pump, you're on a lower dosage of estrogen. But because your own hormones are still wildly fluctuating, you're likely getting symptoms when those hormones are swinging one way or another. Generally the dosage is "right" when hot flashes are gone entirely, but for your other symptoms, it's due to the fluctuations....and periods will continue and be unpredictable on MHT/HRT, unless you switch to a cyclical progesterone method.
