The blackout has ended without much results unfortunately. I agree with many comments that 2 days was insufficient, and now sticking to it for longer without any coordination is not useful. It should have been an indeterminate number of days until things change, but I doubt that's going to happen now.
Hmm, yes that's not great, we wouldn't want the sub to be part of a gated community. Is it possible to move subs to different servers? Actually I'm not admin here, it's @[email protected] so it would be up to him
I wonder how hard it would be to convert some of the existing apps to use Lemmy. I guess the federated aspect makes it more complex and will require more development than just switching the API, but the UI could stay similar.
Henry has done some impressive work with this library, and we're looking forward to add it to the desktop and mobile apps!

There are few existing OCR solutions, but not sure which one is best. This one has been around for a while and I believe works well but you need some extra setup and have to follow a specific workflow:
