I think there's quite a few brown people in America surprised by this. I'm not sure how that's possible but it is the reality of the level of political engagement we're dealing with in this country.

What's your problem with poutine tacos? That sounds delicious.
You know exactly what needs to be done and so does everyone else. The problem is that we're all too selfish, lazy, or scared to do it.
Nothing happened is not an accurate representation of those events. At minimum we have a historical record that all Republicans refused to convict him which means they supported his actions. Dem voters got to watch their representatives stand up for them and make the case that Trump's behavior was not acceptable. Those are both important things despite the fact that he was not removed from office. That's a big part of the information we needed to have to know how bad a 2nd Trump term is going to be.
What they're doing now is giving up without a fight. In fact, they're actively speeding things up by confirming his nominees.
You say tomato I say environmental collapse. Don't make excuses for people who can't take an actual stand on a topic. She tried to split the difference to appeal to both sides and both sides told her that wasn't good enough. Good fucking plan eh?
Hey now, he issued those pardons for his friends and family like a genuine dictator there towards the end. He was figuring out how to wield his powers effectively but they were only really put to use for personal gain. Funny how that works
Better not do anything at all then
Ask a Palestinian how they feel about your sympathy
No it isn't and talking that way is not helpful. Although, if you're ready to give up before experiencing any actual consequences of all this then you weren't going to be much help anyway.
lol that's not going to happen. The train has left the station and everyone with the capacity to choose to get off has already done so. Stop hoping for a moment that will never come.
It's not too late to refresh the tree of liberty
I voted for Harris. The guy you're responding to is still right. If democrats had actually represented the working class for the last 30 years instead of paying lip service to the idea then we would not be in this situation. Saying that does not excuse the actions of Republicans or conservative voters. It's simply an honest accounting of Democrats failure to present a convincing counter argument to the GOP. You would think that would be easy to do and yet here we are.
