Matter of preference, really. I like a nice UI, smooth animations, clean aesthetic, etc. Sync provides that for me and more, so to me, it IS better than all the other apps. :)

It's the best UI currently :)

Perhaps I am biased, but I'd still like to point out some facts :)

Yes, it has ads. It also has options to remove them.

No, you can post. That's coming soon.

This app is also in its first beta release. It hasn't been officially launched yet. It just happened that a lot of people who were excited about Sync coming back drummed up a lot of hype for it when the beta finally launched, that we kicked off a massive news wave apparently.

Also, of the ones I've used, the fluidity of the app, the smoothness of it, and the polish (especially for a beta) is unmatched from the other Lemmy clients I've used (haven't used all of them, but I used a lot of them.)

Sorry, should've been more clear, but I'm currently running a more "spy"centric campaign (think Dishonored, if you've played it). So a lot of the characters are recurring and have a bigger impact on the narrative. I use it for them. But like NPCs, or a PCs father, etc. I don't bother lol.

Don't get me wrong, I still use monsters and stuff from the monsters manual, but to give some fun challenges, I figured "instead of throwing 20 smaller enemies at my players, why not roll up 2 characters as the "generals" of this army, and that will be their combat for this session".

I thought Itd be fun for my players to fight someone who had as insane abilities that they do. After all, they're not the only adventurers or power seekers in this world.

I've tried my best (this is my first experience DMing a campaign) to recreate the feeling that Oda does in One Piece. The world is alive and vibrant. Sure, we are following our players, but that doesn't mean the world revolves around them. Stuff is going on without them there, so they might show up in the middle of a giant thunderstorm, or a raider attack, or nothing could happen at all, until they leave.

My players have liked it so far, telling me it gives them plenty of story hooks that they could follow if they wanted to.

I think someone else already mentioned it, but just to reiterate... Anything for other people who aren't my wife and future kids.

Password manager, file backups, photo backup, whatever.

If something happens to me, or I pass away, wifey has instructions on shutting everything down (probably should write instructions on how to save all the important stuff).

But I don't want to deal with other peoples stuff. I like tinkering with my server and different docker containers, etc. So I don't want someone complaining they can't access their photos because I wanted to try something new. Also, just don't wanna be responsible for storing their photos and important documents.

So, I have no idea what your patterns, habits, and just general life is like, but I actually use it for some subscriptions. I currently pay for Sync for Lemmy using it, and also for a mass texting app.

Are there any mobile games you like? You can use it for some iAP's :)

If there is an app that you've been eyeing but it is a little more than you'd like to spend, maybe use your credits on that!

That's how I paid for 1Password 7 a few years ago lol

The dev has stated that this exact bug was fixed over a year ago. As for this version of Sync, should still be fixed, but I will remind you and anyone else reading this, this release is a BETA. There will be bugs. It's getting a lot of attention in media, so that seems to be lost in translation so to speak, but it's still not officially fully released. :)

How was this posted 2 years ago?

[–] koinu 1 points 1 year ago

Oh yes! Definitely still interested. I'll DM you.

On the connect for lemmy app, it thinks it's a user lol.

So unfortunately I didn't play video games until about 2001 when I turned 5 and got an N64 for my first Christmas in the USA. The game itself is from 2000 though.

Mickey's Speedway USA for the N64.

Goddamn I loved that game. I have so many fun memories with it.

Awesome, thank you for taking the time to a deer my questions.

So, I've recently started torrenting more, but I wanted to be safe about it, or a safe as can be.

I already have a PIA subscription from like 3 years ago on a Christmas sale.

I would like to continue using Docker, as I have been.

I know there are docker images of qBittorrent with VPN included, but I have PIA set up with the "Gluetun" docker image, so that if I wanted to, I could run other containers through it rather easily.

So, I'm using PIA with Gluetun image, and the standard qBittorrent image that is being funneled through Gluetun. I'm using Portainer and Portainer Stacks to manage my docker environment. I'm also using a PIA server in CA Vancouver, as far as I can tell, that server allows port forwarding as well as seeding.

My problem is I can't seem to seed anything. Can any of y'all help me get properly set up for seeding as well as torrenting?

If you need any more info or screenshots, let me know!

Also, I am actively looking and researching to try to fix it, but work is a pain right now. I'll update if I manage to figure it out.

Thank you in advance!

Invite swap? (self.trackers)
submitted 2 years ago by koinu to c/trackers

Is it possible to do it here, or is there another place to possibly swap invites to private trackers?

I tried iptorrents, and of course it's donate or invite only. I do happen to have an invite to TorrentLeech if anyone wants to trade?

Idk if this is a thing or not, so any help would be appreciated!
