But they're still so bad at resisting water. I get cancer AND shitty straws? WTF? Just don't bother with the PFAS it doesn't even work.
Yeh but it's up to the schools to choose whether to hire them so I don't see that stunt working.
Especially something this broad. The idea in many key aspects had been around for a very long time. Virtual reality headsets for gaming that respond to head movement have been an activity pursued idea since at least the 90s, I remember seeing a TV doc about a prototype device where they were using it to play Mech Warrior. This seems like patenting a hoverboard. It's a cool idea, a lot of people have had it, it's in popular consciousness,. it's even in movies, doesn't mean you're actively making one now or know how to.
But you could delete system32 if you wanted, it just broke everything, I can't imagine deleting the bootloader would go particularly well for you either.
It's terminals all the way down
It was frustrating since I'm just trying to look at files. I think it's ultimately a good thing for the baby rails in place to protect me from myself, but I really think some provision could have been made for things that are pretty much agnostic to the operating system and are just personal files.
I temporarily need to revert to my old computer for two weeks and wanted to restore the files I was working on from the new system on to my old one. It was some project files from Adobe applications (correct version format for the old system), some movies and a game that I wanted access to. After the 2 week period my new system is going to be wiped so I knew I'd need to make a time machine anyway, so I figured it would kill 2 birds with one stone. Luckily, I had other manual backups of the actual serious work and for the game and movies, I was able to copy them from the time machine by looking at it's contents through terminal, which really goes to show it was perfectly possible all along.
I've never seen it, but I kind of like it. For some reason it reminds me of what text looked like on 16bit era games. Makes me think of that All Your Base Are Belong To Us thing.
I didn't make it clear but I was referring really to all the bastards of the world, generally here, Apple included for doing this, but them and all the other bastards doing bastard things too.
Oh my god will the bastards never stop?
Well I'm able to see this 23m later, but actually the reason I'm here isnbecau lemmy.ml just went down this very minute.
AI?
