I think their point is password managers make it very easy to have completely unique passwords, and if your Lemmy password is compromised you can change it without worrying about any other accounts being compromised. Not that a manager would magically protect you from ever being compromised.
When I was in college, one of the workers at the campus sub shop would legitimately make you say “may I” instead of “can I” before he’d start building your order.
Kind of like how you can use your Facebook or Google account to create logins for different sites? Seems like it would be entirely possible to have a “Fediverse” login.
I use my keypad a lot for my job so I’ve always been kind of jealous of the people who can use the slimmed down keyboards. This is a cute little compromise and I’m glad to know it exists!
