I’m kinda surprised I’m seemingly in the minority of preferring self check. At least before they handicapped all the regular self checkouts and forced everyone to do self checkout. When it was truly optional, especially when it was “20 items of fewer” style, it was so much faster because I’m usually not buying a huge cart worth of items, and I can bag my own way. However now that Susan with her month’s worth of groceries for her family of 4 is also in self checkout, it makes it less efficient.

So it’s not “trading more with Mexico is bad” and rather “not trading so much with China is bad”. That makes sense. Thanks

Yeah, I’m also not a fan of the dairy lobby coming for my “plant milk” label. I’m in the US, where AFAIK nothing has stuck. But I believe in the EU they’ve now officially had to implement the “beverage” label (please correct me if I’m wrong!), which kinda sucks imo but whatever. Despite what the dairy industry thinks, it’s not going to stop people buying plant milks.

Best of luck! Hopefully they work. Figure “big kids” plugs might fit your “tiny adult” ears!!

iPhones come with a few apple-specific apps most people don’t want/need (think GarageBand, Apple Home, etc) but they’re all removable and don’t re-install themselves.

Here’s a screenshot of what they’re typing, my app doesn’t “hide” it like your viewing platform does it appears:

One such instance is lemmynsfw.com

You can subscribe to that instance’s communities from your current account, or make an account there for just NSFW (I personally like to keep my NSFW and regular browsing separate and I find that’s the easiest way 🙂)

The “manual” way (aka not electric) was just one of these that goes on your stove top. :)

Not trying to be funny, have you tried actual children’s ear plugs? Or are those too small?

I originally went with kbin over Lemmy because the kbin webapp looked and functioned (for me) so much better. But now Memmy has gotten pretty good and close to Apollo so I’ve moved there. For me it’s all about ease of interaction/function.
