@Krzak @boo There used to be much more diversity in the marketplace, but those are bygone days.

Power, influence and greed are the prime movers these days and whowever is in a position to monopolize on this will have a caravan of equally minded people who will agree to participate in the slaughter of the free marketplace just for a piece of the action.

@ono I thought protondb reports brought you closer to what you were looking for. IDK if sifting through uncurated steam reviews would be helpful without Steam first implementing such filters that would remove all other reviews.

@zelifcam Steam+Proton doesn't work out of the box for everyone. I have two laptops with different hardware/OSs, and I run into compatibility issues on one system that I don't encounter on the other when attempting to launch the same games.

While I do agree that Steam+Proton provides excellent support - there are cases when Lutris+Wine and Bottles run better into certain configurations.

@wesker @jdh That guy is no bueno. I used to work at a resort where he held annual conferences, and the manipulation that went on between him and his audience was akin to cultism.

@Izzy @Tagger That's an excellent choice if you want to have control over your phone instead of it having control over you. 😉

@Uranium_Green @Drhype #Obtanium is one of the best options out there imo. Updates come directly from the source.

@AlmightySnoo These guys are desperate. It's funny to watch them scramble around and try to appear noble.

This is the kind of behavior you would expect from psychopaths.

@Montagge @nintendiator The difference is that on #Linux you're a player, but on #Windows you're being played.
