What are you even talking about?!?! There is so much uranium in the world. Even if we completely switched over to nuclear power and without improvements in Nuclear tech, our sun would have fizzled out and we still would have uranium left.

Uranium is more abundant than silver and we don't need much to power a nuclear reactor.

I like how people take Fukushima and Chernobyl as examples for disasters. Please go look up how many people have died from those disasters. Please go check. I'll wait.

Chernobyl: 2 Fukushima: 0

Keep in mind that Chernobyl was built in the 50s with 50s tech it never maintained during the USSR era.

Fukushima did not anticipate a tsunami. Because of the Fukushima disaster we know have new protocols to improve future nuclear builds. If anything Fukushima is a prime example how safe a nuclear reactor can be even when the worst scenario happens.

Man, I wish it was more addictive. Then I would remember to take it.

Unfortunately it lacks things like video chat. :(

Normies will use Apple because they claim to have privacy in their forefront. Nerds like me degoogle and don't use social media(unless you count this... What is Lemmy?).

It's easier to go Apple. Difficult to use Android and own your privacy.

Nuclear can power hydrogen generators that power a hydrogen car.

Don't even need to make any nasty batteries from cobalt. Or mine for lithium.

That's the problem. Storage. Current battery tech just doesn't scale. Nuclear fills those gaps for night time and cloudy days.

We literally can just run 100% electric right now with zero emissions today if the world went nuclear. We already have the tech today. It's scalable today.

No need to wait to develop new battery tech. Our future is in our hands right now.

I think they sell the perception of privacy. They might not sell your data, but they certainly use that data to sell to you. They only care about profits and any privacy that you think you might have is just a byproduct of that greed.

Apple is an optics company and damn good at it too.

KIA is also dumping. Those prices are not sustainable. Doesn't make it right if others are doing it.

Well, having an app that isn't tried down by an OS would be great. You could install Google meet on an iphone. Apple is just trying to take more market share.

Unfortunately, I don't trust Apple either. I think Telegram or Signal might be a good option, but then again. They are just a CEO away from it being shitty.

I wish there was a better solution that is OSS but it won't catch on.

I mean, EVs are not going to save the earth. Investments/innovations into our infrastructures will.

Nuclear power is the only thing currently that can save us. Unfortunately, we have ill-informed people not understanding what nuclear is.

I'm an old redditor that left the platform for Lemmy.

I have been using Sync and using lemm.ee.

I have heard so much about activity pub and simply don't understand how to use it. Do you use a browser to visit another website that is like a Lemmy instance? Is there an Android app that connects a bunch of instances like pixelated and Lemmy instances together? Or is Sync able to do all this but there is a setting I need to do.

Can someone please help shed some light to this? Thank you.

Thank you for clicking my post.

I'm currently running a Synology Notestation with around 8 clients and while it mostly works, sometimes images don't load correctly(or doesn't at all) and has failed on me one too many times.

I'm looking for another notes app similar to DS notes.

1- Rich Text Editor 2- Self hosted 3- Has multiple users enabled 4- Native Android app

Nice to have: 1- offline mode 2- FOSS 3- Has an active community

I host files for my entire family and they rely on notes for all their important documents. So it has to be simple to use.

I have tried benotes, but not having a Native Android app makes it hard for normies to use it. I also tried Joplin, but it's single user only.

Thank you for the suggestions.
