Sounds great, and is very welcome! Please merge. Thank you. Do you guys have any idea why ddc/ci controls for brightness control of external screens are not yet implemented in any major De? It's the same on windows, still not part of the Os. Third party tools available since ages.

Or CalyxOS. Both are totally reliable as daily drivers on pixels. Installation is super easy via web installer and you can still use the original Google cam app that makes your images look as nice as you are used too. Join their respective Matrix chats to get things going and ask the noon questions.
That's an easy choice for me then ;)
Weird, how's that?
I guess selling them makes most sense. Removing one of the cpus and 3/4s of the ram might be necessary to bring down the power consumption for home use. Noise is not that much of an issue as it would be placed in the cellar anyway. I am about to donate one of them to my local hackspace though (they might be interested to fiddle and get their hands on server grade stuff as some of them over there do not have access to it at work), so I still wonder how to run them as energy efficient and quiet as possible with options given on the bios by Fujitsu. I will post some findings with power consumption in a separate thread or here. Thanks!
This is an interestimg built to me. Can Iget a few details about components, especially the frameset and what the ride quality is like? Beautiful geometry :D
Edit: Formatierungsfehler
Found an x61 and an x200t at a flea market in Bremen two days ago and let my girlfriend talk me out of this 15€ purchase :D :/ I still have a 1400x1050 panel sitting in the drawer.
I am, are you?
Afaik the Amd versions always have classic wifi cards in their m2 slots that can be replaced with whatever you like. They also tend to have 32gb ram options available (while the intel only offer 16 - eg x13) which helps to make them future proof. If Wwan slots can be used for ssd I don't know. My current daily driver is a x280 with a 13inch panel and an ax201.
But are there any DEs that make use of this and include setting screen brightness on external screens as easy as for laptops? Is it because each screen manufacturer implements altering brightness/contrast/etc. via ddcci differently?
