I think it would be really nice to move away from reddit, and move to something open source.

I'd also like to move from Reddit. How's been your experience here so far (I'm new here)? I've also heard of criticisms against Lemmy.

The amount of content definitely won't match Reddit at this point, but surprisingly more than I expected.

Time will tell.

The UX is still rather clunky, but I hope that the now coming 3rd party apps will solve that.

I'm certainly having high hopes for lemmy since it got a lot of things right. It certainly follows the ideology that Aaron Schwartz had. I'll start posting on here more rather than Reddit.
