I think your statement and the fear for self driving can be true at the same time.

Self driving is safer than humans most of the time… but not all the time. Nothing is perfect.

Self driving currently assumes that a human can intervene when it fails. It assumes that a human is present and not eating a bowl of cereal and applying mascara. It assumes that the human is actually paying attention, in a situation where they usually don’t have to because self driving is usually safer.

Yes, self driving is statically safer. Yes, self driving will one day be perfect.

But I don’t think we can fault anyone for being worried about self driving, especially with companies like Tesla, who sell the promise that you don’t really have to pay attention… even though you kinda have to right now.

Well this information is often specific based on which state/country you live in but if you are going through this process in New Jersey, feel free to DM me or comment back! I'd be more than happy to help with any questions or guidance 🙂

But I would add, don’t hold back money from your higher interest accruing accounts if you have it, if you’re trying to optimize the interest. Once you have the money, deposit it as soon as possible, so interest begins accruing on it, even if it’s not the beginning of the month yet.

In other words, if you hold back money, it’ll never accrue interest. You’re not going to get exponential or compounding growth on money that wasn’t accruing interest. You only get that once it begins accruing interest.

The crime Wells Fargo committed was they used iMessage and other encrypted chat platforms, which is against the law for financial companies.

Just something to think about.

They made an announcement that prior users are grandfathered in so I think you’re in that camp

I was able to but it was a bear. I wasn’t planning to do it again after all I suffered through… but I’m hoping these bumps make that more possible in the future.

Oh I didn’t realize that, that’s awesome!

I have used Mint for like the last five years in south NJ and love them. Yes, they are lower priority, so if you go to very dense and busy locations often (think malls and stadiums) you maybe have issues.

Mint offers ways to get a free trial though between the Mint App and Mint website. Definitely take the trial before buying a plan — even though they have a refund policy, it’s only 7 days, and they aren’t the greatest at honoring it. Get a free trial SIM and give it a whirl on the places you go first, before making the leap.

And finally, never ever buy a phone from Mint.

Hey did you ever get my DM or did that never send? I more or less said "Yes, yes, and should we just join forces and combine?"

I don't think you said anything differently? The article said ALL batteries must comply by 2027. You appeared to say high performing batteries don't have to follow the law until 2027. Both of these statements, the original post and your revision, are true -- all phones, including high performing batteries, must comply in the EU by 2027.

I personally thought their best leaders was when they had Eisner (creative) and Frank Wells (business). Heck you could argue it was also Walt (creative) and his brother for business. Disney just seems to work better when those two different brains/roles are held by two different people.

For what it's worth, if you live in the United States and have a diagnosis that says you had these conditions before you turn 21, you are eligible for government supports due to an Intellectual Disability after you turn 21. This differs state-to-state but in general, would absolutely include supports to help you find and maintain a job.

For me I think it would be the Burlington County Mall. I remembered going there once as a kid. A decade later, I saw a picture of how abandoned it was, and that led me down a rabbit hole into seeing how other malls are doing.

How did you begin?

The article I didn’t even know I needed. Do you have any favorites that didn’t make the cut?

Hyundai is adding wireless CarPlay to all new cars, including cars with built in navigation which historically only had wired CarPlay.

Can't tell if this is a good or bad thing. American Express certainly is more well known for superior customer service, but they also seem to be less accepted at more retailers. Curious to see what comes out of this.

As a PSA, remember that the API changes don't only impact third party apps & accessibility tools, but also your ability to bulk delete or modify your Reddit history. If you intend to delete or modify your previous Reddit posts, be sure to run a tool like Power Delete Suite today before the shut down.

Also remember that as Subreddits went from private to public, there may have been posts and comments you attempted to delete but couldn't until they went public again. So if you ran these tools, you might want to run it again to make sure you got everything.

I began this community because I really liked having that 'blast from the past' on my feed. However, I am busy in my personal life -- so if anyone is willing to assist me with moderating, especially if you did that on the former Reddit community, please let me know! Thanks!

I'm about to be stepping into the real estate market so just curious, if you can jump on a Time Machine and talk to yourself before you bought (or rented) a home, what would you have told yourself? What would you have done differently? What should you have looked out for?

I'm not that deep in the market but at face value... my current takeaway from what I'm seeing is "Everything always sucks more than it'd seem at first glance, you won't get away with everything you hoped for, and that's ok."
