I wonder about the people who would work on the subs, who are basically not millionaires. Would regulation, insurance and such help them have some protection and compensation?

If you use other package managers like flatpak, nix-env (for non-NixOS), npm (for global stuff), … you can just create a bash script to list all installed packages for each manager, and save to a file(s). I put them in a git repo to version control these lists, which are updated every now and then when I update stuff.

Is that only between an instance of discourse and the rest of fediverse? Does it also apply for different discourse instances talking to each other?

Essentially, I’m wondering whether I can use 1 account to comment across different forums.

thanks for the explanation! I wonder whether it is possible, or rather scalable, if users can pick their own parameters, even define their own functions. Is this calculated and cached at the server side or user side?
