This man changed the way I develop software. He has made an indelible mark on software development that will continue for decades to come.

Needs inflation adjustment to be a realistic statistic.

When you're eating a candy and look at the wrapper and it says "Great chocolate flavor." You can't call it chocolate unless it meets certain quality criteria.

How is Toyota the only car company still not selling a single BEV vehicle?

Obviously also new here. What you are seeing, honestly, is that the communities that have the most activity. This is what the majority of the users here want. Can you really blame them? You came to a preexisting community that had one thing in common. The federated social networks are explicitly anti-faang, that's their reason for being. We're just here because Reddit took away our stuff. It's on us to make the content and the community we want. They welcomed us.

I uninstalled on the 1st. I didn't want the dev to get hit with a giant bill

No, it's not that I need more advanced search. It's that currently reddit is the best source for information on the Internet. I still want people to be able to find the information they need from well meaning people. Even if that means some douchey company crawls all the lemmy posts to feed to its AI.

Question: can lemmy content be found in a Google search?

Most importantly I think the app devs have moved on. They'd have to do something particularly amazing to lure them back. That's the death knell.

Yeah. This is all I see: Software: Lemmy Signups: no

As long as this tool includes people's personal instances, it's useless.
