Why would that be hard to imagine?

Their brains literally aren't fully formed yet. And the prefeontal cortex is the last to develop.

Younger people will always trend towards "anti establishment" because of it, which makes a political landscape incredibly dangerous when the only two options only care about the wealthy.

The best way to prevent fascism is a pro worker socially progressive party.

Neoliberals stole that from us, then made America play Russian roulette 3x in a row with trump as the gun, and we lost twice.

Meanwhile all the Dems in leadership positions are conspicuously silent.

We cant afford to keep letting geriatric procorp moderates be the only alternative to fascism.

We just saw it the last four years, even when we "win" things don't get better, they just stop getting worse for a few years.

It's never been sustainable, and we've wasted decades on "the lesser evil".

We need to actually run a good candidate Dem voters already agree with.

If people have nothing to lose, they're gonna act like they have nothing to lose...

Like, it's basic psychology. Resource scarcity changes how our brains work, it's literally Maslow's hierarchy of needs

I'm still salty neither Mexico or Canada stood up and said the trade deal trump won't stop complaining about, is what he took credit for in 2018.

Well...

The smart thing would have been for you to Google it instead of just asking random social media accounts...

But yeah, trying to explain things to you is just going to frustrate everyone involved, I'll make sure I never do it again.

You can have an argument with me about it, or you could read the article...

Personally, I think the chances of you believing the article is a lot higher than you believing me rewording the article.

Like, even just explaining the difference between "can" and "legally can" would help you out here. But there's just a lot of steps likely involved with getting you caught up.

Just read the article

"Acts" being publishing their names assumably since Elon was running around calling that a crime earlier

How are these public?

They're copies of old records that are owned by private companies

Like, that's the entire point of the article and the lawsuit...

Did you ever think people wouldn't give up explaining things to you if you weren't constantly claiming they said things they didn't?

You keep saying "So" and then random shit. Stop trying to make connections and just listen.

What?

No, it takes a year to be vested, at which much union protections become much stronger.

Vestment isn't just a fed or even American thing.

[–] givesomefucks 8 points 4 days ago (6 children)

Under US employment law

There's a whole host of laws for different jobs/states/workers.

Federal workers are some of the most protected workers in America, but only when you're vested. Because:

union contract that says otherwise

But you need a year to get those protections

Workers who’ve been at the agency less than one year received an email last week notifying them that they had been identified as employees that were likely on a “probationary/ trial period,” according to an email reviewed by NBC News.

Yeah...

Every fed has one year probation, and it is not a secret that you're not protected until that's year up and can be let go for basically any reason. But there still has to be a reason.

Article is light on details, but it was probably the agency trying to give a heads up, or musk trying to make the fork sound more attractive.

But the risk to new hires has been a discussion since Trump won the election among federal workers, they're the most vulnerable group, and every federal worker knows that already.

Quick edit:

The irony is I'm pretty sure Trump was the one that took it down from 2 years to one...
