Conservatives deduct 1 million points from Biden for being a Democrat, and then after counting up all of Trump’s individual faults find them to be in equal deficit.
Lemmy/KBin are in early adopter territory right now, but with some of the iOS and Android apps maturing and hitting the app stores (scarily fast!) there’s a pathway for less tech-centric people to find their way over.
For now I try to focus on the pro of the “small user base” con, which is that engagement is way higher and there isn’t a metric shit-ton of karma-whoring comments and posts.
I’m using Memmy (iOS) and am subscribed on communities via a couple instances. It’s a Sunday arvo and I’m enjoying a drink and scrolling away, and for a minute I forgot I wasn’t scrolling Reddit on Apollo. That’s pretty amazing considering that a few weeks ago I couldn't conceive of an alternative platform - and there functionally wasn’t, at least to the extent it is now. I reckon in another few months things will have really progressed again. So hang in there 🐱
Google says:

This explains much.
There was a Sync iOS TestFlight for many years but it never really matured.
Especially people directly affected by it!

I don’t think that Sony have any PSVR2 stalls where they demo it, which apparently they did have with PSVR so that’s a bummer. If you can find a hobby shop that specialises in it they’ll probably let you try out a headset - anything is fine if you’re just testing your legs!
I am enjoying it, I think it’s pretty polished and the eye tracking is great. Gunplay feels a floaty though, especially compared to The Light Brigade, which has a similar idea and gameplay loop but a different execution.
Yeah so far so good! Very polished. Gunplay is floaty but eye tracking for telekenisis is good, I am just not very good at hitting anyone with thrown boxes (yet).
I play a few games daily (Synth Riders, Beat Saber, etc) for cardio, otherwise I primarily game on the weekend and more so when there‘a a game that has my attention. I went through a big Pavlov phase, it’s great fun.
I think people may underestimate that VR is very intentional, it’s a lot easier to lay back on the couch and casually game so you need to want to lose yourself in the game for a good while. That’s not always possible or desirable.
I am very fortunate that I’ve never had any form of motion sickness in VR. Also, I came from a Quest 2, so I didn’t have to adjust all when I got PSVR2. I would strongly recommend you try out VR in some form - any form - before you make the investment, as I’ve seen some people disappointed due to discomfort or due to not having experienced VR before.
