Hmm. I’m assuming like every other sector there are lots of fakes of dubious quality that are virtually indistinguishable from real ones except they break much more easily.

Unless you’re buying from Leatherman directly you have a much greater chance of getting a fake that’s priced high but made cheaply with inferior materials to scam people. Just try and get a real SD card on Amazon. Probably 60% or more fakes for the big name ones and huge profits for the criminals.

And the countries you mentioned can produce quality products if the company ordering the products cares enough to demand it and reject anything substandard.

See Apple. But you better believe they have QC experts at every level and if the suppliers don’t deliver they’ll never see another dime from Apple.

I have a Free P4 and feel it’s on par with their earlier products.

That said you can always smell the influence of an MBA screwing stuff up for an otherwise good company to “make them more profitable”.

More companies need to tell these idiots to pound sand because their paper education is worthless.

The only good MBA is an unemployed MBA.

He should do a Biden and step back for the good of the country.

I’d take Singh in a heartbeat over the other two.

But we need a Kamala up here too.

They’re terrified of churn.

Telus doing this too. Rather than a credit card surcharge (PR disaster) it’s a autopay discount of $5.

It’ll be a cold day before I ever give a company direct billing access to my accounts. At least with credit cards I have protection and get a free bonus points.

But printers are a dying breed. That’s not apple’s target market. They’re trying to look a few decades into the future not the past. That’s scraps for the dog.

Printing is dying. For the time being I run a B&W Brother laser at home. Perfect for us.

My go to sandwich place, but parking there sucks so I haven’t been in ages.

What are you willing to pay for it? Apple makes really solid hardware but it’s not cheap. They’d need a huge segment of the population to want to pay $1,000 for a high end printer to make it worthwhile and the movement has been away from printing for some time now.

My office used to do tens of thousands of pages a year back 20 years ago. We might do a hundred pages a month now if it’s especially busy. Everything else is PDF.

The government of Canada doesn’t provide me with clean water either. My local municipality does with my taxes.
