We’re going to end up paying the 50 one way or another. The only thing is that’s this back and forth is pushing back the timeline for Lavia to be integrated into the squad.

Point 2 sounds awesome 🙌

I thought we were over this type of negotiating! The longer we delay this transfer the longer into the season before Lavia is settled. Surely the Hendo/Fab transfers can cover what’s required here.

Loving Memmy so far!

The only two things I’d like to see are:

  • searching within a community (this is probably requested previously but I can’t search previous posts. Please let me know if I’m wrong here!)

  • the subscriptions tab to become a button within the dock at the bottom. I frequently move between my subscriptions and I find it a little tucked away at the moment.

Regardless, love your work. It’s always a bit rich making requests for something that is FREE! So, again, thanks for all your hard work and feel free to disregard the above.

He was such a central part of the success. The final piece of the puzzle after the Kiev champions league defeat.

I wonder if the Saudi money will be there for years to come or if this is just one season of a huge cash injection. I remember when people were going to china for huge wages - which has since dried up a fair bit.

When you weigh up his reasons for leaving (i.e.,money, reduced playing time?) against all the potential draw backs (i.e., lgbt issues, league with less quality, not picked for euros, leaving role as captain of one of worlds biggest teams, team he’s going to will not be competitive?), it seems like a horrible decision. I guess money talks and that’s the point of the article 🤷‍♂️

Reddy also mentioned:

"Lavia and Gravenberch have long been considered by LFC (regardless of current situation), with their reps spoken to. Other players they've looked at: Nicolo Barella, Khephren Thuram, Florentino Luis, Joao Palhinha, Teun Koopmeiners...

They do love a surprise, stealth signing"

Hopefully this means the wheels are turning and we are about to see something!

I didn’t realise that both of them wouldn’t be ready in time!

I hope so. I worry that the protests and outrage would quickly pass and reddit would rumble on without too much change.

It is really weird but at the end of the day he’s not going to be in a position to earn 700k a year for three years after this current LFC deal. Cashing in seems too appealing - what other reasons are there?

[–] flamindinky 1 points 1 year ago

I wonder he much his pro LGBTQI stance would influence things.

Jeeeeeez 10mil is way too low. Especially considering he is a) our captain, and b) being offer 700k wages.

Sorry if this question is stupid or repetitive - new to Lemmy and Memmy!
