FreshRSS is good. I've been using it for a while. Easy to install on shared hosting as it's just php

Sorry to hear about that. Mine so far OK but only had it 6 months.

When I'm out and about, I use a de-Googled JellyStar. A very small phone that I mainly use just for messages and calls. It's not a dumbphone, it's a small smartphone that is quite hard to view or comment on social media with. Doesn't encourage anything but basic use.

Check out Reticulum Network Stack using LORA radio. Works really well.

Well done. I have been having similar port forwarding problems as you. Had started to look at cloudflare tunnels but am now encouraged to go ahead. Thanks

My wife and I use SimpleNote. I know it's not a proper grocery app but it works really well. One person can create the grocery list initially then share with another. Either of us can then add to the list if we think of things we need or tick the box if we have bought it. Instantly updated on each others tablets, phone, desktop automatically. It's free too!

I have proton for many years since I started de-googling. Very happy with it.

Similar happened to me and my OP a few months ago. Decided to buy/try a refurbished OP9 from Iode with their version of LOS pre installed. Very happy so far

I've used it for 3 months. Really like it and the options it provides. Very useful resource althougg I'm not self hosting yet. Lack of collaboration an issue but I believed its on the roadmap

I am thinking of setting up my own Pixelfed instance, maybe on Digital Ocean or similar. Can anybody advise the sort of CPU requirements I would need for a single user instance to run efficiently? 2gb CPU sufficient?
