Correct - but having seen them in action, well planned ones are executed from multiple countries at once so they can't just be geoip blocked.

My money is on Elon not understanding how it works, lying, or both. Much more history of that happening than the other.

He's claimed DDoS before right after the purge. I'm pretty sure it was just the platform being crushed by normal traffic. I'm skeptical this isn't just operating as funded.

They literally have manufacturing facilities in the US as well due to the IBM acquisition. This article seems to gloss over the reality of them being globally diverse for a while.

HP and Dell manufacture more in PRC.

He could push directly to main/prod, so there weren't explicitly any code reviews or necessarily oversight. Also, that code would be private. Only an insider with repository access could tell us that.

That said, I also want to know. I'm guessing we'll hear about it soon enough.
