Lower concentration of water vapour in farts than in breath. So farts are not a visible in cold weather.

I think it's more likely these will just get condensation from your natural body sweat.

I hate myself for engaging with this thread.

As others have pointed out, maybe look for a hobby.

Take baby steps towards becoming more involved in the things that youre passionate about. Housing affordability, the climate, and other things are on everyone's mind these days, and maybe there's something there that you have some strong feelings about. Look for virtual municipality or state/province public consultations about those things (e.g. new housing development consultations), and lend your voice to it. Meet new people with the same ideas.

Tldr, Try to make some of your free time into something self-directed, constructive and fulfilling (instead of passive algorithm surfing).

I had to make a choice between being able to be financially in the green and BG3. I'm afraid I won't get to share your joy for at least a few months. I am so happy that the hype is real. Can't wait!

Embrace ~~the dark side~~ expressing yourself without the perfection filter of spellcheck. Those squiggly red lines want you to be someone youre not. Punctuation prevents you from being you. Spell things your own way. Make up your own words.

Mixed feelings about some of the parks. But I guess it's already happening, so, awesome

Trying to understand - is this making fun of stoicism?

my immediate thought is monthly membership fees for tenant unions are just lining someone's pocket, and preying on hopeful and vulnerable people. Please correct me if this is off base for these organizations..

I suppose standing in solidarity might include physically showing up to their events and volunteering time and resources.

Reddit is still a good resource for this topic. Visit the TorontoBiking subreddit for more advice

There are separated bike lanes along Yonge between Davisville and Bloor.

Bloor has separated bike lanes that extend pretty far east and west. You can take bloor over to either University, Bay or Sherborne to go further south. Sherborne and University have a seperated bike lane, and Bay has a designated lane with a painted line or shared lane with cars depending on the stretch. Sherborne or University would be safer but may be a bit further to ride.

You can check out Google maps streetview to get a sense of the intersections and streets you'll need to navigate. Also Toronto publishes a map of all bike lanes here https://www.toronto.ca/services-payments/streets-parking-transportation/cycling-in-toronto/cycling-network-map/

Bike lanes technically have a lower threshold for snow accumulation before dedicated plowing is triggered. In practice, you can't always expect them to be clear enough to use. My advice is to test it as long as you can in the winter. Often you'll find that you need to upgrade specific pieces of clothing (gloves, face covering, boots, pants etc) to have a comfortable ride for yourself. You might find that your bike needs alterations as well (fenders, fatter tires), but sometimes people opt to.ride a "beater" bike through winters due to the general havok it wreaks on the precision parts of bikes from corrosion and debris. Having a plan for how to clean your bike regularly in the cold weather is a must IMO.

Thanks for these links. I skimmed through them and realized I'm pretty lucky to have the time and energy to read articles this lengthy. The article on Chow mentions her idealistic vision of community-based-everything, and how it really relies on civic engagement. I just don't think people can afford to take time to read or reflect at depth on many of the issues this election, or on community issues in general. And the trend is likely to worsen, or at least push more people to single issue voting.

Honestly don't know how obvious these are but here are is my meager contribution: Read the newspaper in a coffee shop. Go for a walk in the rain. I enjoy the Don Valley ravines or the various boardwalks along the lakeshore when raining.

I also think a rainy weekend is a perfect excuse to disconnect from phones. Being profoundly bored can bring a lot of creativity into your life
