that's possible and it does work well, but you have to disable the anticheat and risk getting banned
start with i3wm/sway or openbox. openbox is a floating window manager so it should be more familiar and i3wm is a tiling window manager. personally i use kde nowadays but i always preferred tiling window managers when i chose to use one. it all comes down to your choices so first see if you prefer tiling or floating window managers and then go from there

with this pace of growth i wouldn't blame them if they got advertisements. and i believe that most people here use adblock anyway
i'm just using tutanota since they don't work with 3rd party clients

i jinxed it, it froze just when i was trying to post "is it just me or is lemmy.world faster after the upgrade"
fyi i used "an anime game launcher" a few months ago, it ran perfectly fine especially with the framerate unlocker, it was really good. i wasn't banned i played it for a few days but i haven't played genshin since.
