People in 1982 knew there was interest in watching people play video games. Now there is more gameplay video on the Internet than you could watch in a lifetime.
They are creating a bunch of traffic problems in cities like San Francisco where the driverless car companies are essentially allowed to beta test their vehicles on public streets. They stop in the middle of the road and block traffic and emergency vehicles. https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/driverless-taxi-cruise-waymo-18157172.php
I'm extremely surprised he is still alive. 100 years old, damn.
Be honest about what's wrong, that's why you're there. But in a polite way. "Well, my day started off well but then I broke my arm so I'm worse now."
Use fans. Air blowing on you will make you feel cooler. If you don't have air conditioning some houses can benefit from one fan blowing inwards from the cool/shady side of the house and one fan blowing outwards on the hot/sunny side of the house.
Try to do outdoor things early in the morning or late in the evening. If you need to be outdoors during the hottest parts of the day stay in the shade, wear sunscreen, move more slowly, drink plenty of water.
arcane: understood by few; mysterious or secret
archaic: very old or old-fashioned
I did mean arcane but archaic could fit too. I don't really have a problem with old as long as it's good, but not that many people out of general population understand what Linux commands there are and how to fully utilize them.
It's like so many other things, it's simple when you know it well but when you don't have a lot of experience it's very daunting. A lot depends on understanding the file system, like what is the difference between /run and /media and / and /root? So much is command line with some pretty arcane commands and parameters. And not knowing what tools there are to help, and not knowing how to fix things when they break.
This, big time. Pretty much every product or package contains some plastics, including so many one-time use disposable ones. Plastics are infesting the Earth from pole to pole, they are everywhere. Clothes are made of plastic, do laundry and a bunch of microplastics go down the drain. Car tires drop microplastics as they wear. And then there's all the large ones we can see like plastic bags, bottles, etc.
I could never be a wizard. Mess up code, get some error messages. Mess up a spell, get turned into a pile of goo, slaughtered by a demon, or transported to a hell dimension.
That's some prime hyperbole. Lots of people want EVs, they just can't afford them or don't like the offerings.
This exactly, and the more victims the scammers can get the more it supports their endeavors.
