This is a major Hyperbole. I know a LOT of people who would buy an EV, problem is charging infrastructure sucks, and charging at home is hard/impossible for many (especially Renters)

That's some prime hyperbole. Lots of people want EVs, they just can't afford them or don't like the offerings.
And Jeep dealerships having lots full of Jeep Compasses for sale means nobody wants to buy SUVs too right? Or maybe that's now how this works.
I'm in the US, and I really want to buy an EV. Do I not count? I've had 2 EVs in the past and plan to get one for my next car, but I currently have an old used truck while I'm doing house construction and mostly working from home.
