Never go full regard

I would leave the title. It's important that people be critical but willing to adjust opinion.

Apple has fought these in the past (San Bernardino shooting / Phone unlock). It is honestly best for them to never take a case on this issue that they could lose.

Apple did not cave

caving would've been to build the backdoor

End to end encryption is MEANINGLESS if someone else also has a key

They removed a feature in the region to avoid setting a precedent that they would backdoor their feature on the whims of a shitty government

Now Apple gets to tell the UK that they would love to give fully encrypted backups but the UK government does not like encryption and security

This actually looks like Truth Social is blocking Ukraine as opposed to Ukraine blocking Truth Social

LLNL has achieved positive power output with their experiments. https://www.llnl.gov/article/49301/shot-ages-fusion-ignition-breakthrough-hailed-one-most-impressive-scientific-feats-21st

No fusion reactor today is actually going to generate power in the useful sense.

These are more about understanding how Fusion works so that a reactor that is purpose built to generate power can be developed in the future.

Unlike the movies real development is the culmination of MANY small steps.

Today we are holding reactions for 20 minutes. 20 years ago getting a reaction to self sustain in the first place seemed impossible.

I mean, he is still 980 MILLION dollars away from being a mere billionaire. He is WAAAAAAAAY closer to you and me

In the grand scheme of things; Whether they are making it up or not enough people eat this up at face value for it to do damage

That said, I think most of these people are going for political gain.

I apply the same logic to religious right as well. Trump is the antithesis of nearly every religion's teachings but I don't think these religious leaders even believe in their own God.

My dog hates getting brushed and any sort of grooming. We always put this song on when its time just to mess with him

This one is pretty easy. The system is crushing people. Healthcare CEOs have directly chosen to kill people and their loved ones.

Class war has been raging for at least the last 50 years and the working class hasn’t even realized a punch has been thrown.

We have more empty homes than homeless people in the US.

We spend far more on healthcare per person than any other country yet our life expectancy is significantly worse

Every aspect of your existence is monetized by some billionaire or another. Life is hollow and empty and that’s only about to get a lot worse.

Peaceful protest by itself has rarely led to change. Peaceful protest is ALWAYS the better approach though.

Fuel costs certainly offset that FAST

I think most people wouldn't wear out a cassette nearly as quickly as you imagine (besides, overhauling a drive train (new chain, new cassette, new chainrings) can be done with decent parts for $50-70)

I have 3,000 miles on my chainring and about 2,000 miles on my chain and cog these components are still good and probably have another 2,000 miles available easily

Tires do wear out and I spend about $200 a year on those (I could spend 80 if I got cheaper tires)... but I spend between $600-800 every two years for tires on my EV

I've been pretty into riding my bike around my city and working on bikes for the last few years. Most bicycle repairs start at $20 and top out at $100 where as most repair jobs on cars start at $300-500
