Oh shiiiit, Nagas are becoming snakes! Finally the tribals can make sense!
Woah that's a cool take on Act of Treason! You want to actually hit with what you steal instead of just sac it or whatever. (Granted you probably still sac it, but at least you have the one extra hoop).
Ha nice! Cool to see another Skullbriar effect after all this time. I like that all the counters she can give herself are useful without being oppressive
Crazy that Binding of Isaac is still in there, it's been years since the last release and it's not really in the public consciousness the same way something like Vampire Survivors is. Fantastic game though, happy to see it continue to succeed
Since it's silver-border it falls under silver-border judging rules, which states "C'mon, friend, you know what a toy is, don't be a cheese"
Got to play Cthulhu Wars with 3 friends, one was brand new and two had played two years ago so pretty fresh all around. I had a lead as Daemon Sultan, but made a greedy ritual play and got punished hard. New player playing black goat had the win in the bag with a ritual and 6 gates, but decided not to ritual and play with her food. She ended the next (final) round with zero gates and Cthulhu took the win instead lol
Agreed, I love em. My only complaint is we've only had one set of them so far, and while there's a few standouts ([[Invasion of Segovia]] in Locust God is nasty), overall they were obviously designed on the safer side. Excited to see where the design space leads as they get more confident in the card type
Oh shit, Isaac 2!
Actually to the point, I didn't even have Mewgenics on my radar, but it is now. To be honest, being real-time (and thus skill based) is one of my favorite parts of Isaac, since it allows you to clutch victories even with bad RNG in ways you can't always do with turn based games. Either way I respect him trying something different and will definitely try the new game on pedigree alone.
Interesting too that he's admitted the lack of item info is a regret. I do use "that mod" (the super popular item descriptions mod) and I honestly can't imagine playing again without it, it's just such a nice QoL
Hmm, currently I run [[Unlicensed Hearse]] as my grave hate in Locust God. This hits one less thing, but +1/+1 counters are probably more useful than a slowly growing vanilla body, and occasionally it will have upside with the activated abilities thing. Tough choice
Aw, cowards made "Counterspell with Downside", instead of our usual "Cancel with Upside". Image if we got a cancel that made a food, or if I'm being greedy a cancel that bargains to cast for U
My Locust God deck will be watching the Bargain mechanic with great interest. This one ain't it (since it doesn't "draw" the cards) but I'm hopeful
