Gotta love how everyone calls Gaza an "open air prison" then go on to blame Israel, totally disregarding the fact that Gaza's southern border is with Egypt.

From: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_recognition_of_the_State_of_Palestine

Of the 193 member states of the United Nations, 138 (71.5%) have recognised the State of Palestine as of 31 July 2019.

Hamas are terrorists and are only using Palestinians as pawns. Hamas give the fascists in the Israeli government the justification to commit their crimes.

Let's hope the majority are forced into supporting terrorists as their leaders (that sounds so wrong), but let's not fool ourselves into believing that a significant number of them don't support Hamas.

It's still the decision of the people living in those lands whether to choose hatred and violence as a way to solve their problems.

Your point doesn't change mine at all, just adds another layer between the cause and effect.

Right, but poverty's still not the direct cause.

In my humble opinion, this is a rare case where a "both parties" argument makes sense, as in both parties are acting, and have acted, in horrific, morally reprehensible ways. It's not arguing in good faith to call out Israel for their racist (I would say fascist) actions without acknowledging the racist (antisemitic) actions of Hamas.

Now before anyone jumps in to point out that Hamas does not equal the Palestinian people (despite being their elected representatives) please note that the Israeli state similarly does not equal the Jewish people (despite being their elected representatives). There are evil and innocent people on both sides and any acknowledgement otherwise is biased to the point of being completely erroneous.

This thousand year old chain of retaliations will never end if we continue with the same old barbaric tribalism and hatred.

My empathy goes out to the innocent.

I'm guessing that renters typically engage in other behaviours that accelerate aging as opposed to renting being the cause, cuz that would be totally bonkers.
