I wish there weren't so many popup ads in that website. Trying to scroll down to the ingredient list is troublesome.

I'm old, but it took a lot of time to network/socialize. I know there's books/material to socialize now. I have learned to grey rock, and just go neutral with giving a response to most situations.

This is a learned thing. No one teached us this back in the 80s or earlier. Life isn't easy, we learn as we get older. Yes, it's hard, but if some random person asks about your day, just say "great, how about you?". Put the focus back on them. Let them talk. Just listen. Oh, their grandma passed away last week? "Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. Let's remember her legacy, and know that she lived to her fullest."

We are all still animals at the end of the day. You can make mistakes! Learn from them, and move on. Learn as you go.

Lemmy.world was my first choice, and I'm glad I stuck through it. I'm 4 weeks in and I've seen this community grow and iron out the kinks. The hell if I'm ever going back to reddit.

I live in Oklahoma, and it's been raining every freakin day. I've missed out on so much outdoor activity, I feel like I'm going stir crazy. I need some sunshine. It was sunny most of the day. But I was at work from 2-10. Was a great day tho. I was informed today that my background check cleared and now I've been officially promoted to assistant manager at a fast casual sandwich shop based in Austin, TX.

So yeah, working a lot, but it's worth it. My boss is amazing, treats me so well, and I like 99% of my coworkers. I just wish it would stop raining for just 1 day.

It was 1986. I remember it well. My Grandma was a gem!
