TAP works with Apple Wallet, or you can buy a day pass with cash on the bus or at any light rail station. If you know what you’re doing and are staying near specific parts of LA, Metro is great. For example, spend a weekend going between Santa Monica Pier to Natural History Museum to Grand Central Market to Little Tokyo. That’s the E line and will cost $5/day. If you don’t want to Uber from LAX, then right now the Flyaway shuttle is probably your best bet.
