I've defederated from lemmynsfw.com because someone subscribed to them and I saw the pornography on my instance and that is against one of the site rules. The same would be said for any other pornography or breaking of site rules no matter where it came from. At this point though, hexabear have not harassed anybody on my instance or broken any of the site rules, so there is no basis to defederate them. If that does happen, then a decision will be made.

As an instance owner myself some of this is concerning. I understand why lemmy.world would want to defederate from them. I won't defederate on my instance at this point, but if personal attacks start to happen or rules get broken, then it will be considered.

Sounds nifty as long as it works as intended.

Do you mean you created a community on the instance lemmy.world called fz_09 ? If so, I tried to go to that community, but it doesn't exist for m.

15 years here and I only go when I need to for a link that provides an answer for my job.

Looks great. Thank you for all your effort on this.

Lemmyverse.org uses Cloudflare to mitigate DDoS attacks such as those on lemmy.world and lemmy.ml. This should help provide a more robust instance.

Looking for a place to call home? Lemmyverse.org is open!

Everyone is welcome, as long as you abide by the rules.

If you create a community be sure to add rules to build a great community.

No and no.

I'm over 40 and nobody cares.

To start off this community, here are some Youtube links for channels that contain some great popping.

  1. SacDepSpa - Lots of different types of pops here. Mostly blackheads and focusing on the head and neck areas. Close up views.

  2. MrPopZit - A dermatologist, that has different types of pops from all over the body. Abscesses, blackheads and other types. Some videos can be tedious.

Comment with sites you like.

In the month I've been running my server, I have accumulated about 8GB of data. I've subscribed to about 30 communities or so, but my server only has be actively using it.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (10 children)

I created mine because I am a systems engineer by trade and I moved on from Reddit. Nobody else has used my instance except for me, but I think it's worth it. I like being in control of my own account and can be assured my instance wont impose rules that i dont agree with or worse, just disappear. If other people find it useful, then that's even better.

The server backend that runs Lemmyverse.org has been upgraded.

We are currently running on:

8 x Xeon vCPUs @ 2.80GHz 12 GB RAM 100GB SSD storage 1Gb network connection Located in a datacenter in Texas, USA, (Not from a home connection).

All this combines for a fast experience. Create an account, subscribe to some communities and see what the Lemmyverse is all about.

Not usually for an instance as big as vlemmy.net.

What a disguished looking dog. Is that a cardigan? Thank you for contributing fellow lemming.

No idea, but it looks as though they are either moving servers or they lost their domain.
