I'm so sick of the 'big twist' ending where something 'unexpected' happens or it leaves it ambiguous, just give us closure.
The ending to Hot Fuzz is perfect. It answers questions, doesn't stick around too long and ties up all the loose ends, while still being open-ended and leaving it to the viewer to conjure what happens next.

This was an absolute treat for guys that used to play heaps of doom wads back in the day
It was so much fun being amazed at the engine-bending tricks this wad (pk3 I guess) uses to fool and misdirect you
Even having two floors above each other was a huge feat, it's not possible in the doom engine but this mod tricks you so seamlessly that you don't even notice
