I'm not saying it is. I simply meant that heroin being a far more potent drug, the minimum amount that qualifies you for SG's draconian punishment is lower. That minimum amount being roughly half of what this woman was caught with, ie, at 16gms IIRC.

I believe you're taking your anger out on the wrong person here. I didn't make those laws, I wouldn't have. But it is what it is, and from what I've seen on the internet, most Singaporeans seem to be either apathetic to it or in support of it given their history with opium.

I second Vivaldi. It's a great chromium based alternative to chrome, and the level of customisation on offer is jaw-dropping. Its mouse gestures in particular, have been a huge convenience. The only thing about it that irks me somewhat is that it's noticeably slower to start compared to Firefox and Edge.

That makes sense. Thanks. A water-air heat pump looks worth considering.

I've always relied solely on my AC for both my summer and winter needs. I'm also interested in learning what may be a more efficient option.

Unfortunately, I don't think employers seeing their employees as mere resources is exclusive to Japan. Though they definitely like to dial it up to 11 there.

I don't think Reddit will feel a noteworthy sting anytime soon. But that's okay. Like some here have already said, what matters is fediverse ultimately growing big enough for us to have a sizeable group of people to interact with regarding hobbies or any random topic posted here.

Although, I can't move on without whining about the bug or whatever it was that prevented me from commenting anywhere for the last ...almost a month! On rare occasions, I couldn't even see anything on my feed so Lemmy clearly has ways to go in regards to matters outside of its contents.

I too was initially wondering that. A comparison with a similar camera to that of the Mars rovers would've been more interesting. We have much more capable cams here at home.

"Only" the first two apply to me as I blasphemously love Windows, but I somewhat agree with your observation.

In this day and age of worldwide financial morass? I applaud you for your courage (or affluence maybe), my friend.

Heh. Basically nothing works with Android, unfortunately. You can't pair the watch with an Android phone to begin with. Without an iPhone, you might have to use it as a standalone watch, with no way to receive your health data in your phone.

You will be pleased to know that Apple watches are some of the best health/fitness trackers out there. In fact, they're the only consistently best all-rounders.

For peace of mind, check this fellow out. In my humble opinion, quite underrated for the quality of content he puts out, he reviews smartwatches and fitness bands like no other. At least as far as I'm aware. https://www.youtube.com/@TheQuantifiedScientist

His reviews helped me settle on the AW 8. Sometimes, I wish this thing cooperated with Android phones too though. Android arena doesn't have any watch that perform as well across the board as Apple watches do. The Huawei come close, but they lag Apple in sleep tracking.
