Yep. Nobody dies of just “old age”, there’s always a cause. Unfortunately cancer is the cause that is the hardest to treat.

The flexible Sika products are great for concrete that’s not in a high vehicle traffic area. I’ve also had good luck using their two part epoxy compounds for sealing core holes. They seem to hold up really well and harden just as hard as the original concrete.
That looks great!
Really just restaurants in general. Covid put so much stress on any restaurant that was already running on a thin profit margin. I feel like I’m general portions have gotten smaller or lower quality, prices have gone up, and the little extras are gone.
If you really want to know, send a water sample to an analytical lab for fecal coliform analysis. Should run you less than $50.
There’s really no need to isolate a “dedicated” toilet from the rest of your plumbing system. If you don’t use it for bathroom business, a new, never used toilet isn’t much different than a sink.
The only issue might be the water in the tank getting stagnant and developing biofilm. The best way to prevent that would be to install a commercial-style toilet with a flushometer valve instead of a tank. Might also give you the “institutional” feel if that’s what you’re looking for.
Without AC to move the air around, anything you can do to prevent the hot air leaving the kitchen will keep the rest of your place cool. In our house, unless the ac is running, when we close doors between rooms in can make a 5-10 degree difference.
Strongly agree. When I pulled a toilet that had been caulked around, I found an unholy mess beneath it. Just a little weep hole in the back is enough.
Do you mind sharing what seed box provider you use? It sounds like a great setup for the price.
Lemmy reminds me a lot of the way the internet used to be- smaller, independent communities with more real engagement and less of a content firehose. With so many instances, if you want something, you have to seek it out or start it yourself- with the added benefit of federation keeping everyone connected.
I’m really optimistic that this will get critical mass. I think the concept of federation is great, and I like to think we’re at the forefront of a whole new phase of online community.
