So because I choose people I know to demonstrate a point then that also means that I don't know anyone outside of a friend and family circle that capitalism has helped?

"Clearly the selfless capitalism is convenient for you isn't it" nice but if snark there... So much for an actual discussion.

If you are retired and WANT to go back to work is completely different from not having a choice when you are old tired and no one will hire you and you don't have enough money to live on. Bit of a difference there.

I don't know of anyone that does not want to retire. Many who come out of retirement only work part time. Not full time, again they want to. Not that they don't have a choice.

If you don't want it that's fine, but anyone I've spoken to does.

Who? My brother. Moved from being almost bankrupt to now living in a nice house and owning a business.

My godfather built his own company, lives a good life.

A friend of mine who has gotten into investing and is now making a nice living doing that.

Why would anyone not want to change their position in life? Why would anyone want to stay where they are? Be nice to move up enough in life to own your own place and actually retire at some point. By retirement I mean never worry about your bills. Not worry about "oh no my hot water heater went out, now I have to choose go to my grand kids graduation or replace the hot water heater ". Actual retirement.

Simple. Learn to play that game and try to succeed.

If you get up and just go to work every day expect to fail. Learn to use the stock market. Learn to use options. Start small. Like real small. Don't use real money. Just write down on a piece of paper and figure out your results.

Once you're making money on paper then put in a small amount of money and try. Try. Try. Try. Try again.

You can't stop capitalism but you can use it in your favor.

Interesting. There are a ton of homes here built (starting about 1920) that still stand. And trust me they were built to last. Minor upkeep and they are still good today, but then everything is going to require minor upkeep.

Is there a way on an iPhone when you go into the Photos viewer so you have it only show videos with a simple click? (self.nostupidquestions)

My mom was using her iPhone. She tapped the Photos button, and somehow it literally showed only the videos that had been taken. It would not show any pictures.

Is there a shortcut where she could’ve accidentally tapped something? To cause this? I’ve never seen this happen.

The actual steps that were taken

From the lock screen, I activated the camera took several photos. Then locked the phone. Then handed the phone to mom. She unlocked. The tapped photo viewer, and all it would show is the videos.

I’m trying to figure out if there was something that she tapped on the side of the phone or something that she may have tapped when unlocking the phone.

It’s not the only time we’ve had really weird things happen on an iPhone, but it’s happening more and more. So hopefully somebody can help us out on this one?

Any down side to adding a non steam game to a steam account? (self.linuxmint)
 

Is there any side effect of adding it to steam as a non steam game?

For example on the windows side would I now need to do the same? I am going to be adding (or plan to add) guild wars 2 to steam as a non steam game in Linux. Will i have to do the same in windows? Are there any other down sides that I should be aware of?

I'll be running guild wars 2 through proton under steam.

I just updated the Watch to 11.1 for the operating system. And it keeps changing what is on the display. (self.apple_enthusiast)

For example, I have the app of Pandora playing music and Pandora is displayed on the watch. It shows what song is playing and who’s singing. I lower my wrist to continue doing the work I’m doing. Sometime in the next 15 minutes 20 minutes I’ll bring my wrist back up to look at the wash to see who is singing the current song And it has gone back to the time

I did not have this problem before I updated the watch last night. It would stay on Pandora or whatever screen I set the watch to.

I don’t mind the watch going to sleep to save battery power that’s fine. But when I bring my wrist up to look at my watch, it should still be at the display that is that I set.

How do I adjust this? How do I get it to stay on for example Pandora or Apple Music or whatever I want the screen to be at? Again to clarify, I’m not saying to keep it from going to sleep. I just want it when I bring my wrist up where the screen lights up. It is on the display that I have set it to.

My mom would not be able to wear a hat during the summer obviously heat would stay in and she would get too hot. She needs a wig, but that wig should, for lack of a better phrase, breathe.

So it doesn’t hold the heat in near the scalp.

Is there a wig that is like that? Or do all wigs effectively hold heat to the scalp?

Edit: I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. That's on me. I meant will a wig be more warm then normal hair?

In settings, sounds, system sounds, there is an option for system clicks

I have that turned off, but everything's I tap the keyboard it clicks. How do I turn off the clicking sound?

Apple says sounds &haptics but I can't find that option

Edit: solved : I have a third party keyboard SwiftKey installed. That was what was doing it. Forgot I had that installed. Dealing with this for a year. Lol

But I can’t find a .config folder. I found an /etc/gtk-3.0 folder.

Would that directory work?

Is there a better way to change the title bar color?
